The Sales Executive (aka Sales Ninja) is responsible for closing SQO’s that produce monthly / annual recurring revenue (MRR / ARR) in order to hit quota allowing the company to achieve quarterly and annual revenue objectives. The key performance indicator of this role will be to deliver NEW monthly/annual recurring revenue (MRR / ARR) against quota and increasing close rate of SQO’s. There will also be a key performance indicator measured against your ability to create SQO’s. This will be achieved using SDR strategies.

This position requires a self-starter who can work with limited direct supervision, is entrepreneurial in spirit, and has strong leadership skills that align to help the company achieve quarterly and annual objectives. This role will be a strategic driving force behind reaching $50M ARR by the end of 2023 which will result in the return of $1B back to businesses. This is a full-time, exempt, benefited position and reports to the Vice President of Sales.


This role will be evaluated based on: 

  • New MRR added by moving prospects from Booked Call to Signed Contract
  • Maintain healthy average client value in line with company pricing controls
  • Self-generate sales qualified opportunities when there is a business need to do so

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Be a primary conversion closer of New MRR for the Gravy team.
  • Close inbound and outbound sales opportunities at scale.
  • Support the SDR team by helping drive booked call metrics to supplement their volume when necessary.
  • Create urgency in the sales pipeline by moving prospects from Booked Call to Signed Contract to Client Launch.
  • Have superior command of SalesForce.
  • Provide total visibility to VP Sales of pipeline health.
  • Close economically healthy deals at all costs.
  • Leverage creative outreach and communication measures to drive new MRR deals month in, month out.
  • Work with the SDR team on new opportunities that are created so that congruency is achieved. Be the conduit so the prospect doesn’t experience confusion.
  • Client referral harvesting.
  • Bring at least 1-2 years of sales experience to the Gravy sales team.
